Seclusion

Seclusion was one of the most ambitious projects I’ve worked on during my time at NHTV. The idea behind this game was a narrative driven exploration game in distopian world ravaged by disease. The unique hook for this project was inspired by movies such as Ground Hog Day and Source code in the sense that the player had to relive the same day until they found the solution to a cataclysmic event.

I worked as a narrative designer at the start and as design lead later on. The project experienced several setbacks caused by poor scoping and even after reducing the scope several times we had to cancel the project after working on it for about 9 months. Although this project didn’t end up in a playable game I included it on my portfolio because I learned so much from it and it has been one of my most valuable experiences at NHTV.
